A new front elevation is the fastest way to make an old house look new, and the best place to make a new house stand out. Here are 10 ideas we use on Delhi NCR homes, with the material behind each one.
1. Warm wood against cool grey
Wood-look panels next to grey metal or ACP give a front that feels modern but welcoming. It works on almost any plot size.

2. Vertical fluted louvers
Charcoal aluminium louvers running floor to floor add height and rhythm, and give privacy to bedrooms facing the street.

3. Solwood WPC louvers on balconies
Timber-look WPC louvers screen balconies from the street and the sun, with none of the termite worries of real wood.
4. Crisp ACP frames around windows
Thick ACP "boxes" around windows and balconies create deep shadows and a bold, architectural look, even on a simple building.
5. HPL feature wall at the entrance
A single wall of stone- or wood-finish HPL beside the main door makes the entrance feel premium without cladding the whole house.
6. CNC jaali panels, lit at night
Laser-cut aluminium panels with a custom pattern give privacy and ventilation by day and a glowing pattern at night. They are great for staircases and terraces.

7. A rooftop pergola
A metal or WPC pergola turns an unused terrace into an outdoor room, and finishes the top of the elevation.

8. Two-tone horizontal bands
Alternating bands of light and dark ACP or HPL make a tall, narrow house look wider and calmer.
9. Matching aluminium gate
An aluminium gate in the same finish as your louvers ties the whole front together, from the boundary wall to the roof.
10. Concealed lighting in grooves
Linear LEDs hidden in cladding grooves or behind louvers make the elevation look completely different at night. Plan the wiring before the cladding goes up.
